Basic Statistics and SPSS Training (Batch-3)

သုတေသနနယ်ပယ်တွင် လုပ်ကိုင်နေသူများ၊ NGOs နှင့် INGOs များတွင် Data Analysis ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ လုပ်ဆောင်နေသူများ၊ Thesis နှင့် Research paper များအား SPSS သုံးပြီး စာတမ်းပြုစု ရေးသားမည့်သူများအတွက် Data Analysis tool တစ်ခုဖြစ်တဲ့ SPSS software ကို နားလည်တတ်ကျွမ်းစေပြီး အဲဒီအတွက် မရှိမဖြစ် လိုအပ်တဲ့ Statistics ရဲ့ basic concept များကိုလည်း တပြိုင်နက်တည်း နားလည်သဘောပေါက်စေမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ယခင်အတန်းများတွင် ကြုံတွေ့ရသော အချိန်အနည်းအငယ်အတွင်း ရှုပ်ထွေးနက်နဲတဲ့ Statistics ကို ဦးနှောက်တွေ ထူပူမသွားဘဲ နားလည်သဘောပေါက်ဖို့ရန် ပြင်ဆင်ထားပါတယ်။ Stats Theory နဲ့ Concept များအတွက် ‌သင်ကြားသင်ယူနိုင်ရန် ရိုးရှင်းသော လွယ်ကူနိုင်သော သင်ကြားဟန်ဖြင့် ဒီဇိုင်းဆွဲ ပြင်ဆင်ထားပြီး လက်တွေ့ဆောင်ရွက်နေသူမှ သင်ကြားပေးမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

သင်တန်းအား တက်ရောက်ခြင်းဖြင့် Data Analysis ပြုလုပ်ခြင်းအတွက် SPSS ဖြင့် အသုံးများသော ခွဲခြမ်းစိတ်ဖြာ ဆန်းစစ်ခြင်းနည်းလမ်းများကို နားလည်တတ်ကျွမ်းပြီး ပြန်လည် အသုံးချနိုင်သွားမည် ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Topic 2: Probability and Probability Distribution

• Probability concepts
• Probability distribution in different types of variable

Topic 3: Basic Concepts of Inferential Statistics

• Sampling distributions and central limit theorem
• Concepts of estimation: confidence interval, confidence level, standard error, t-distribution, and z-distribution
• Concepts of hypothesis testing: null and alternative hypothesis, rejection area, types of error, P-values, one-tailed test, and two-tailed test

Topic 4: T-test

• One sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and paired t-test

Topic 5: ANOVA

• Concepts and use of ANOVA
• Assumptions of ANOVA

Topic 6: Categorical Data Analysis Methods

• Chi-square test and Fisher exact test
• Underlying assumptions

Topic 7: Correlation and Linear Regression

• Concepts of correlation: correlation coefficient
• Concepts of linear regression: slope, intercept, predicted values, residual, and R-square
• Linear regression with categorical independent variables and dummy variables
• Multiple linear regression and regression diagnostics

Topic 8: Logistic Regression

• Concept for logistic regression: probability, odd, OR, and ln(odd)
• Simple logistic regression and multiple logistic regression
